Project Graduation has been a strong tradition at Waukesha North since 1987. Our goal is to provide graduating seniors an opportunity to celebrate in a chaperoned, alcohol and drug-free environment the night of graduation. The festivities include food, dancing, games, professional entertainment including a hypnotist, and prizes. All of this is funded by ticket sales, parent and community donations.

The Story Behind Project GradGraduation night for many years was a night which held potential for tragedy. A night when parties were aplenty with drinking and other dangers mixed with driving.
In 1987, some concerned parents wanted to change the potential for tragedy by offering an alternative to graduating Seniors for their hard work and achievement. Project Graduation began at North High School due to the efforts of Mr. Charles Trewyn, Mary Carey, and Heddy Racinowski. Today the tradition is going strong at all four Waukesha high schools on graduation night. |
